r u gonna stay hunched the whole walk… lol
i no mine too its so annoying
LOL go and on the captions at 1:24 LOL good walk ver good walk blah blah blah
How do you train a huskey not to pull…there are times where he pulls and it feels that my shoulder will rip off. He is just over 1 year old.
I have trained dogs for several years. The method of slapping your wife to shut her up “works” too, but it’s not a good method. Stay in the garden (or kitchen) and leave dog training to real professionals.
Have you tried using this method to train a dog to walk? If not, reserve your comments until you do. The method works.
what can we do if the dog walk with the tale down in shows? at home all is ok, but in shows she walk like affraid..
It looks like u need to get ur back ajusted and ur mind???
watch the dog whisperer, treats and bribery can only get you so far. treats and food don’t form a strong bond, trust or mental stability, therefore it’s your job as the dogs leader to build the dog’s confidence and show that you will protect it.
I just yell at the dog when he doesn’t do what i want. That seems to work well for me.
Is she a tender dog? My first dog was a tender one, extremely friendly. He was my best friend, we did a lot of things together, and I rarely acted as a boss but as a teacher. So, I bought him a harness instead of a collar (is less shocking for a dog) and tempted him to go out to the street. He was shocked and sat down and became a statue, but temptation won: he, in his own free will, chose to go outside. After that, walking together became our preferred hobby.
can someone please give me advise…my dog is not very good with having a collar on…whenever it is on she finds the nearest hiding spot and just sits down, she doesnt even move!…it breaks my heart to see all of these nicely trained dogs walking perfectly with a leash on and then i look at my puppy and i feel terrible…someone help….please?!?!?!
I am happy that they are at least luring and not using a choke chain, prong collar, or shock collar. I say YES to Positive Reinforcement! My dogs are my best friends and agility partners and correction based training is just not as effective and research has shown that aversive training can cause long term damage to dogs physically. Glad to see more people using R+.
who names a dog “bear”, oh wait my cat is named “horse”, Idiots!!!!!
I wish I had two more hands… so I could give this video 4 thumbs down! It’s so easy when the dog is already trained.
^^ exactly
is that top thrill dragster in the background or something?
i trained my dog to walk today, id just give the leash a little tug then if tht didnt work i’d stop and if he went infront id say somthing like hey and id make him stop also when you stop with the dog tell them to sit so they dont go off anywhere …
He’s not a very good instructor
He isn’t the best dog trainer he doesn’t give enough detail and emotion and how the dog feels
You have to let him know that you are in charge and snap his attention back to you. Try watching Cesar Millan, he’s amazing with dogs. I just finished reading one of his books and it helped me a lot!

Exactly! The dog was calm, laying next to him on the ground! Our pugs book down the drive way as fast as they can and pull so hard on their leashes. I know exactly what you mean.

I would like to see this technique with a dog that has problems walking well. My dog is nightmare and all the videos I see are with dogs that have been trained already, so they don’t do a lot for me and my situation.
thanks
i train my dog to walk on the weekends and when he looks at a dog he runs after and he doesnt take on the treat when he looks at a dog. Please respond
